This is a specially commissioned work by the San Francisco Opera, based on the classic Qing Dynasty novel. We expect this to be a free flowing question-and-answer evening over wine and food.

Dr. Stan Lai is an internationally acclaimed award-winning U.S. born and Asia based playwright, theatre, movie, and opera director who received his PhD from UC Berkeley. He is the artistic director of the Performance Workshop in Taipei and was Professor and Founding Dean of the College of Theatre in Taipei.
