Dr. Munis D. Faruqui Conversation
Dr. Faruqui is an award-winning teacher, well known for his engaging lectures and publications on the Muslim experience in South Asia, especially during the Mughal period. His books include Princes of the Mughal Empire, 1504-1719 (Cambridge, 2012), Expanding Frontiers in South Asian and World History (co-edited with R. Eaton, D. Gilmartin and S. Kumar) (Cambridge, 2013), and Religious Interactions in Mughal India (co-edited with V. Dalmia) (Oxford, 2014). In this Conversation, Dr. Faruqui will lead us into a lively discussion of medieval travel comparing Italian merchant Marco Polo to Moroccan traveler/scholar Ibn Batutta. Dr. Faruqui holds a PhD from Duke University.
Registration Policies
The Society for Asian Art's cancellation policy requires at least one week's advance written notice in order to receive a refund of registration fees. This excludes our Travel programs, which have separate cancellation policies, as well as any programs where a specific refund policy is stated on the event page. Your fees will be returned to you through a check in the mail. To cancel, please contact us.
For programs located within the Asian Art Museum, the museum entrance fee must be paid separately and is not included with your registration fee.
