The advance registration deadline for the Fall 2024 Arts of Asia lecture series, Beyond the Familiar: A Deeper Look into the Asian Art Museum Collection, is rapidly approaching. Please sign up now if you haven't yet. Late registration fees go into effect on August 24!

The Fall 2024 Literature Course, In Pursuit of Qu Yuan (343-277 BCE) with Prof. Paula Varsano of UC Berkeley, consist of three in person classes. Each class will be prefaced by a brief lecture introducing the historical background of particular facets of the Qu Yuan story, the salient aesthetic features of the texts in question, and the key debates that have exercised readers in modern and contemporary times. Each presentation will be followed by a guided conversation, as together, the class participants engage in close readings of the works that have been passed down.
